The Cumberland County Genealogical Society (CCGS) was established to provide a forum for those interested in genealogy to share information and to assist in the identification and cataloguing of resource material so that it can be readily available to everyone for both research and education.
Objectives of the CCGS are to collect and preserve genealogical material; promote the study of genealogy and family history in Cumberland County; further ethical practices, scientific and effective techniques of genealogical research; and, to publish and distribute genealogical material to help in the education and promotion of interest in genealogy.
CCGS members meet every third Tuesday of each month (except July, August & December), presently in Amherst, Cumberland County. Location and time notification will be posted prior to meeting. Open to the general public. [Check main page for meeting notes!]
