Nathaniel Smith family-250 years in Nova Scotia

A gathering of his descendants to commemorate settlement of the family into Nova Scotia in 1774

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

2pm – Meet and Greet at the Historic Fox Hill Cemetery next to Nathaniel’s memorial headstone.

2:15pm – Welcome by Bill (Will) Smith, a ggggg grandson, and the story behind the erection of the new headstone for Nathaniel Smith in 2022 at Fox Hill Cemetery.

2:30pm – A brief talk on the family, its Yorkshire roots and resettlement into Nova Scotia by Al Smith – a gggg grandson of Nathaniel’s.

3:30pm to 4:30pm – Reception at the Old Orchard Inn

Come join the gathering, mingle with fellow descendants, and get to know some new “cousins”. Light drinks and snacks will be available.
