From the introduction:
In 1759 Nova Scotia was divided into five counties–Annapolis, Cumberland, Halifax, Kings, and Lunenburg. In Cumberland County in 2009, as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations, the Cumberland County Genealogical Society and its members started a project of recording on Family Group Sheets early settlers of this county who were born on or before 1785. While a few families have been published in family histories, usually there is no hint as to the sources of the information.
CCGS believes that knowing and sharing the exact source of a piece of information helps a researcher and others decide its potential value as evidence.
