Hello,

Would appreciate help with sources and/or documents regarding the "McKenzies of Applecross" - a privately printed book by Ed Holloway circa 1950. The Book is on Roderick Roy McKenzie and his descendants who came to North Shore abt 1810 from PEI abt 1803 from Scotland.

Mr Holloway unfortunately did not list any sources and I have found typos/errors in the parts I have checked over so far.

I am currently seeking information on Annie McKenzie and Donald McKenzie who married ? and had 5 children I know of:

John Thomas McKenzie b: abt 1848
Annie McKenzie b: abt 25 aug 1850 d: 20 May 1923
Isabella May McKenzie b 7 apr abt 185? d: 17 May 1923 - my ancestor (census birth years inconsistent)
Celia J McKenzie b: abt 1856
Daniel George McKenzie: b: 24 Jun 1860 d: 4 Feb 1940 (yes he's the famous N.S. politician)

I know nothing of Donald's parentage. I believe Annie's parents were Colin McKenzie + Anne Stewart (Stuart?) and that Colin was a son of Roderick Roy McKenzie.
Any Help greatly appreciated. Apparently there is a McKenzie cemetery in Cumberland County?

Sincerely, Peter
